Hello! My name is Kay Little and I will be teaching 6th and 7th grade Math this year.  This will be my 21st year teaching and I am very excited to be here!

My conference period is 8th period, which is 2:31-3:20.  If you need to set up a conference, please call the office and I will get back with you to let you know if I am free that day.

The grading policy is as follows:  Daily grades are 40% of the grade and Test grades are 60% of the grades.  If a student makes below a 70, they can correct the paper to bring up their grade.  The highest grade they will receive is a 70.  They must get most of their corrections correct to receive a 70 on the corrected paper.  When I give papers back, I will have a date the corrections are due on the top of the paper.  It is the student's responsibility to get the paper back to me by the date on the paper.

The staff of Brookeland ISD believes that ALL students can learn.  We believe that our school’s purpose is to educate all students to high levels of academic performance while fostering positive growth in social/emotional behaviors and attitudes.  We accept the responsibility to teach all students in a challenging, meaningful way that allows each child to become a literate, contributing adult.  Brookeland ISD is a center for sound learning, academic discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom through advanced course offerings, high academic standards and aggressive, innovative instruction.  The students of Brookeland ISD will excel and compete academically with any students in the country.
