Conference Time:  1:40-2:20

My name is Jennifer Morgan and I teach 2nd and 3rd grade Social Studies and Science. I am excited about the 2023-2024 school year and getting to know your child! I will be teaching Social Studies the first semester and Science the second semester. I love Social Studies and Science and it is my goal to make it fun for others as well! It is going to be an exciting year full of learning and growing for your child. You may click on the links on the left side of the page to access the Weekly Agenda for your child.  I will be sending a Week-at-a-Glance home each week and using the Remind App to send out reminders about tests and important events throughout the school year.  If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to e-mail or call me.  I am looking forward to a great year!

Grading PolicyI will take a minimum of 8 daily grades and 2 test grades per six weeks. Graded papers will most likely be sent home at the end of the week, with the exception of tests (which I usually try to grade and send home the day I administer them). If your child does not come home with his or her graded test within a couple of days of taking it, he or she most likely failed and will need to make corrections. Brookeland I.S.D.'s Parent Portal is another extremely helpful way to keep up with your child's grades as they are posted.

Corrections: In the event your child has a failing or missing grade, he or she will be given 3 days from the date the assignment is graded to make corrections. Corrections can be made in the morning, between 7:30 and 7:55. If a child does not come to my room to make corrections during the allotted time, the original grade will go in the grade book. We will give students reminder notes in their folders letting you know when they need to come to correct or make-up work.

Make-Up Work: Make-up work will be sent home or completed during class within that three day period upon arrival back to school. If your child fails to turn in make-up work within three days of returning to school, they will receive a zero for those assignments.
