Welcome Back to School – Brookeland ISD

August 21, 2023

We are off to a great start to our new school year in Brookeland ISD. Our faculty, students, parents, and community members are all valuable contributors to our success. We are looking forward to our daily work as a team. Overseeing operations at the campus level are our administrators – Principal, Charlotte Odom; Counselor, Stacy Gillis; and Assistant Principal, Brandon Shumake.

Our first day at school shows a total district enrollment of 371 students in Grades Pre K – 12. With the hard work of our students and faculty, we had an excellent year academically in 2022 - 2023. Review of STAAR Tests and End of Course Exam scores show Brookeland ISD scored well above state and regional averages. Final ratings for school districts across Texas will be available in September.

The academic performance of our students across the district is a credit to our teachers, students, administrators, parents, and community members that value the quality of education that our district provides.

Our district is well prepared to meet the needs of all students for the near and foreseeable future. In addition, the district will continue to review our daily procedures, developing additional safety and security upgrades to benefit our students and faculty.

I encourage you to search all of the information available at our school district website at www.brookelandisd.net. We look forward to another year of educational excellence in Brookeland – please feel free to contact us or stop by for a visit.

Lexi Hale of Brookeland ISD
Lexi Hale of Brookeland ISD was one of the few Seniors that KICKS 105 awarded a $1,000 scholarship to this year. Kicks 105 is a local radio station that gives scholarships to seniors in the area that call in to the radio station. We are proud of Lexi Hale for all that she achieved while at Brookeland ISD and are excited to see what she will do in the future.
