Hello!  My name is Mrs. Jeansonne and I am super excited to be your Science teacher!  I have always had a passion for Science and I look forward to sharing that passion with you as we dive into the world of science that is all around us.  My goal is to foster lifelong learning for my students in an engaging, supportive, challenging, and fun environment.

As we work through the challenges that this year brings, I promise to do everything I can to make any changes that we face as simple and easy to understand as possible.  I am here for YOU.  Please reach out to me any time.  My email address is njeansonne@brookelandisd.net.  I look forward to getting to know all of you and to be a part of your journey.

A little about me: I graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and I am a Certified Texas Teacher (Science 4-8) I also have certifications in other fields such as Health Coaching, Weight Management Specialist, and Medical Transcription. I was a former substitute teacher here at Brookeland ISD, and from that moment on I knew where I wanted to be and what I wanted to be doing.   I am married to my best friend, Eric. He’s a Registered Nurse in Cardiac/Cath Lab and is an avid fisherman. We have three grown children and two grandsons (one is now in Heaven).  We are originally from Louisiana, but have been living in Brookeland since 2013.  I absolutely love the outdoors!  Fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, and horseback riding are my favorite hobbies. If I'm not at school, church, or hanging out with family and friends, then more than likely I'm in the woods or on the lake reeling in a big bass! I am active in my church and host a ladies ministry luncheon.  I am also a dancer and I can make delicious homemade hot tamales.  My  passion for science stems from my love of the outdoors and the love of animals.  To me, there’s nothing more exciting than enjoying the nature that is all around us, and the wonder that comes from staring into the night sky.

Our Class Motto is...

HOOKED ON SCIENCE!
