Environmental Systems
Environmental Systems is a science course elective. Students that are interested in the welfare of our planet are encouraged to take this course. We will cover and discuss topics such as climate change, pollution and how it affects our planet, plate tectonics, energy resources, biomes, keystone species, populations, mining, and geobiology.
Students will be expected to write a ten page report, over an environmental topic of choice, for a semester exam grade. During the spring, I will be taking the class on a field trip to Boykin Springs to look at plant and animal diversity at designated areas.
Environmental Systems opens a students eyes to the world in which we live and how we impact it. During class discussions, I encourage my students to search for solutions to many of the problems that faces the world today.
