Assignments --- April 27-- April 30th

1.  Write a reflective essay stating the difference between wisdom and knowledge.  Start out brainstorming a list of connotative words and then be sure to look up the denotation of these words too.  Be sure to include a few SAT words and maybe a quote you find regarding the words.  Type and email to me.

 

2.  Pick out ten SAT words and write a well constructed sentence using each one.  Be sure to employ context clues.

Write five sentences about spring using-- personification, simile, alliteration, metaphor and hyperbole, Refer to poetry notes.

Pick out any 10 words from old or new spelling list and type ten sentences using those words-- make sure to use a context clue-  Please share with me--

1. Spring has Sprung-- with that said-- write a Haiku poem over the beauty of spring--

   Haiku  poem is  3 lines only ---  Refer to online and look at some examples of haiku poetry-- Remember a haiku does not have to have a title.

 

2.  Write me a brief essay over the pros and cons of in school learning and online learning as we are having to do now-- which do you prefer-- 

 

Type both assignments as email to me-- 

 

 


Novels

Students,

Please return all novels (Book Thief)  and any other classroom novel you have checked out from my classroom library as soon as you can.  The main office is open between 10-12 and please give books to whoever is in charge at the high school office-- let that person know the book belongs to me.

 

By now, all freshmen 1st period should have finished reading the Book Thief by now.

If you like out in Rayburn and want to me meet me somewhere out here-- let me know through FB messenger or my school email.
